Joseph's Fire Truck Party

I know this has nothing to do with Homemade Gourmet or meal planning, but it was so much fun and I wanted to share! Here's the birthday boy sporting his Fire truck shirt.

Our group photo.....with our 'official' fire-fighting helmets.

Everyone got to go for a ride....children, parents, and grandparents. Joseph, Kathryn, Jose, and I rode in the front. Joseph enjoyed pulling the string to the air horn....which was VERY loud. But hey, it was his party!

My husband had as much fun as the kids did!

What does your freezer look like?

What do you see as you open your freezer door? Does it look anything like this? picture by:Allie Gowercrafternoonsinthekitchen.blogspot.com

This is a photo of 15 4Meals in 4Minutes style meals (meals made at a Fill your Freezer Day). I borrowed this picture from another Homemade Gourmet distributor. She made these 15 meals in just under 30 minutes!! I'll send my picture next time I get loaded up again! I'm down to my last 3 meals!

Your freezer can look like this! Schedule for my next Fill Your Freezer Day or gather your friends together and host a meal-making class!

Cooking Traditions With My Children

I always knew that my son, Joseph, would follow in Kathryn's, my 5 yr-old, footsteps. I just didn't realize it would be so soon! Joseph just turned 2 on the 22nd and for the last couple of weeks he has been a great helper....well....atleast he trys. He pulls a chair to the counter everytime he sees me getting out a Homemade Gourmet mix.
Here he is making the new Orange Dream Pound Cake. Kathryn was making muffins for one of my tasting parties. Now the two fight for the 'prime space' and who gets to pour what. I guess I'm just happy that they like to help me in the kitchen. A tradition I hope we continue. It's wonderful to see Kathryn's and Joseph's proud face when their creation is done! Maybe it's time to get Joseph his own cooking apron, although my husband, Jose, might not like the idea....we'll see!

I would love to hear how you and your children bond in the kitchen!
