World Vision Caregiver Kits

Homemade Gourmet is partnering with World Vision to equip and encourage a network of 59,000 volunteer caregivers in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. These caregivers are making a world of difference for those impacted by AIDS. But too often, poverty denies them access to the supplies they need to safely and effectively prolong lives and comfort the sick. We can help equip them with the supplies they desperately need!

Why are we doing this?

Assembling Caregiver Kits is an effective, hands-on way we can:
• Show compassion for those suffering from AIDS
• Equip caregivers with the practical materials they need
• Encourage caregivers to continue caring selflessly for their neighbors

What's in a Caregiver Kit?

Caregiver Kits contain basic items such as antibacterial soap, latex gloves, cotton balls, and medications that improve and prolong the lives of those living with AIDS while protecting caregivers and preventing the spread of infection.

Our Caregiver Kit Event

On July 17-18, 2008 at Family Reunion, we will have the opportunity to build a Caregiver Kit(s) and support the Caregiver Kit program. Each kit costs $32 including all shipping and handling. We would like to raise enough funds to build 100 kits! You can give by donating online at www.firstgiving.com/hgcarekits. You will receive a tax-deductible receipt from World Vision by email for your gift.
