January 2008 Kitchen Connection

WOW! I just read through the entire new Kitchen Connection Magazine! I'd been looking forward to receiving my copy, but boy did I under estimate it! It is jammed pack of lots of wonderful articles!!

It starts of with one of Tami's favorite soups....Broccoli and cheese potato soup.

1 HG Baked Potato Soup
4 cups water
1 cup milk
1 can cheddar cheese soup
2 1/2 cups broccoli florets, frozen
salt and pepper to taste

Put all ingredients in a pot. Bring to a boil, slowly, over medium heat to prevent scorching. Reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes. Soups Ready!

Next is a beautiful spread of our new products with special recipes.

Then the Fill Your Freezer Section follows. This is awesome! Anyone can do this at home! Kristen, a lucky winner of the Fill your Freezer makeover, is shown making her meals and learning a great deal with Tami and Cindy. Her freezers holds 16 dinner choices, 15 bonus meals, 5 meal starters along with many more options in her pantry! Make sure to enter the Freezer Makeover Contest!!!

Of course in the middle, is the newest 4 meals in 4 minutes planner (a new one is included with each edition of the KC magazine). Remember each meal planner has 8 dinner choices and 8 bonus meals to make with leftovers and grocery list.

It's exciting to hear that HG has added a staff nutritionist, Susie Bohanan, RD, to our team! You will find her article delightful with simple tips to make our meals more lean and healthful recipes. Included in this section is a HG customer's testimony on how she lost 42 pounds by eating with HG mixes/seasonings!

Soup, stews, and bread recipe cards round out this edition of the Kitchen Connection Magazine.
